LongRanger II (v2)

Here are some photographs of the ACP LongRanger II (17kW)
[c1994] which utalized a 250cc water cooled ICE .
Note that the engine is mounted sideways, is carborated, and the
generator used is originally from an aircraft APU.

This 17kW system is a one-off prototype.

The eCivics dashboard displays only two (2) gauges from the RXT-G II. Interestingly, hand-made decals from Alan Cocconi at ACP back the mid 90s. A lot of creative work and detail went into all the eCivic gauging on Alans part.

These next three (3) pictures are from the day of acquisition. This shows the condition in which we found the trailer. The previous owner had not attempted to use the trailer and stored it, covered, outside for many years. Although not a barn technically, a wonderful barn-find that we had been actively searching for for many years. Wonderful. And great fun, as mentioned above, the RXT-G II is a one-off prototype designed and hand-built by Alan. It does not get any better then that when preserving EV history.

The remaining pictures are on-arrival to our shop. Since, the RXT_G II has been throughly cleaned and serviced but not restored. A survivor in its original state.

Here we begin cleaning and sorting-out the automatic throttle and carburetion systems.
