1997 - 1999 Honda EVPlus

The Honda EVPlus was manufactured in Japan between 1997-1999 and
had a published driving range of 81 miles (130 km).  The EV Plus
featured seating for four, on-board charging, passive NiMH traction
battery pack balancing, electrically heated windshield and regenerative
braking.  Approximately 340 EV Plus models were believed to be built
between 1996 and 1999, and marketed exclusively under a Honda
controlled lease-only program (no private sales).  Honda ended all
leases and destroyed the fleet after the Y2000 CARB mandate was
dropped.  Honda had set the MSRP at $53,900.

No examples example are known to exist outside Honda’s control.
The only know USA based examples are at 
the American Honda Museum in Torrance, CA, and the Honda
Design Hall in Hiyama, Japan.
